Today is International Yoga Day and I've been reflecting all day about how grateful I am - grateful for what yoga has brought into my life. So thank you yoga.
Thank you for making my body ache less. For helping me get down on the floor and play with my kids. For no longer dreading what my body will feel like when I’m 70.
Thank you for improving my circulation, nurturing my nervous system, and feeding my immune system.
Thank you for calming my mind, helping me handle stress in a much more productive way, and showing me I am not my emotions.
Thank you for helping me feel less threatened by life. Less tortured when things go wrong. Less tormented when good things pass.
Thank you for showing me how to be more present, how to leave the past in the past, and the future in the future.
Thank you for heightening my senses so I can see, taste, feel and hear so much more of the beauty around me. Thank you for constantly reminding me we are all one. Thank you for improving my quality of life in so very many ways. And thank you for never giving up on me.
